Beware Of Palestinian Apartheid

Has anyone out there noticed that the Arab Palestinian leader Abbas seeks to adopt racist policy based on ethnic cleansing of Jews.

Recently President Obama sent a message to the Arab Palestinian Chairman Mahmud Abbas indicated that the American administration is not content, to say the least, with the Palestinian foot-dragging in the peace process, or with what is perceived to be a lack of appreciation for American pressure on Israel (which led PM Netanyahu to accept the two-state solution and to temporarily freeze settlement activity in the West Bank and Jerusalem.)

However, there is no fundamental change in the Palestinian stance. The PA hesitates and refrains from any explicit commitment to direct negotiations without pre-conditions. This meaning that for the Arab Palestinians to agree to begin negotiating they are demanding that all of Judea and Samaria be cleansed of all Jews. Keeping in mind that this is their starting point, I wonder what they will demand to conclude the negotiations.

While briefing the Egyptian media in Cairo, Abbas divulged last week his expectations and his positions regarding the political settlement of the conflict. Abbas is willing to  accept to no more than a 1.9% land swap,  he demands to divide Jerusalem, with the city’s whole eastern section handed over to the Arab Palestinians and the western part remaining in Israeli hands, and insisted that the refugee problem must be settled in accordance with an Arab peace initiative from March 2002, and UN resolution 194. He also stressed that he will never recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

"I'm willing to agree to a third party that would supervise the agreement, such as NATO forces, but I would not agree to having Jews among the NATO forces, or that there will live among us even a single Israeli on Palestinian land,” he was quoted by Wafa, the official Arab Palestinian news agency.

A state without Jews

The Arab Palestinians intend to demand the implementation of the UN resolution regarding refugees, from a Palestinian perspective, which gives the 5.5 million refugees and their descendants the right of return and to settle in the State of Israel. In his briefing to the Egyptian media, Abbas presented this strategy and denied the Jewish character of Israel. He maintains that Israel should, in fact, become a bi-national state, but on the other hand that Palestine must become a state “clean” of Jews.

The term “Israeli” used by Abbas means “Jew,” as the PA sees Israeli Arabs, Muslims and Christians alike as an integral part of the Palestinian people. The future State of Palestine, according Abbas, must resist any Jewish presence in its territory. In other words, the PA embraces a racist policy – Palestinian apartheid – directed at Jews, based on denial of Jewish history and the cultural and religious linkage of the Jewish people to the land.

Leftists Equal “Useful Idiots”

Freelance writer and self-identified liberal leftist (and two-time Ralph Nader voter) Alan Krinsky delineates “8 Reasons Leftists should be Pro-Israel,” among these human rights, peace, and self defense.

Krinsky premises the piece in a rejection of a phenomenon of singling Israel out for criticism with a unique sense of urgency and anger, pointing out that “[o]n the Left, people became outraged and agitated over Israel more than over any other cause.”

This outrage manifests in a “… focused attempt to demonize Israel, not undertaken against any other nation… aimed at delegitimizing Israel and undermining its very existence, as if the problems of the world were the fault of the Israelis — the fault of the Jews — and if they would only go away, all would be better.”

Despite the premise that the success of those advancing Israel’s delegitimization is based in their ability to blur the lines between criticism of Israel’s policy and its delegitimization, Krinsky claims that not all ardent anti-Israel voices on the Left aspire towards Israel’s delegitimization. Many, he believes, “are earnest, but perhaps misled.” To those, he offers a note of caution: “If my fellow Leftists or even Liberals think that the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement will help bring an end to the Israeli-Arab Palestinian conflict, as well as peace to the Middle East and harmony to the community of nations, they are sadly mistaken.”

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement funded by Iran, Saudi jArabia and supported by similar regressive regions like Venezuela and North Korea are probably surprised at how easy it is to motivate the world to hate and demonize Israel. The BDS Movement undermines Israeli-Arab Palestinian cooperation; and rather than promoting both Israel and Arab Palestinian rights to self-determination, the BDS Movement is motivated by an agenda that opposes Israel’s existence. Since the Arab Palestinian, movement never misses and opportunity to miss an opportunity, their total identification and adoption of the BDS movement is a sure sign that it will lead nowhere, and the Arab Palestinians will have yet another opportunity to claim their exclusivity of eternal victim hood.
